Luxury wedding planner Emily Campbell of Go Bella Design in Colorado donates for every wedding produced. She sends her clients a personalized certificate (provided by VOW) upon booking to inform her clients that a donation has been made in their name. This provides a wonderful entry point to discuss VOW’s work with interested clients. In addition, Emily also advocates for VOW during her global speaking engagements at Engage Summits in her role as the Executive Director of the Engage Foundation.
“Advocating for the rights of girls and women runs deep with me. Inequality lives through our communities and we all fight different battles, however, the idea of a child becoming a bride is beyond what I can ‘tolerate’. I became involved with VOW for Girls when the Engage! Foundation aligned with them. I am inspired by their grassroots efforts to educate local communities of a girls’ worth as well as using their global influence to affect policy. In lieu of a wedding present I now give my clients a donation made in their name to VOW for Girls. There are so many ways to help and so many causes to support, but VOW happens to be an organization that I stand behind with my time and my money. Sometimes we have to draw a line in the sand and I have drawn my line #vowforgirls.”
The Bridal Collection used their high-traffic Justin Alexander trunk show as the perfect time to maximize their VOW contribution from dress sales. They donated for every second dress sold and raised $5000 during the weekend event.
“The Bridal Collection team was honored to partner with VOW for Girls as our October charity. We first became aware of this organization through Justin Warshaw of Justin Alexander Bridal…As a woman-owned business, empowering women to be independent and self-sufficient is important to us. And as Justin said, the bridal industry is uniquely qualified to support this cause…Using a visual, such as our chalkboard, to track the progress towards the goal is a simple way to create excitement and provides an opportunity to start the conversation. We are looking forward to an ongoing partnership with VOW for Girls.”
Tiffany & Tiffany of VOWs of Style, an international agency specializing in the digital publication of bridal art, beauty, and fashion, support by being monthly donors to help amplify VOW for Girls’ mission and support girls to choose love on their own terms.
“We want every girl to be provided with opportunities and resources to reach their full potential. VOW for Girls created a clear pathway for us to advocate for and support young women stripped of their human rights in the direst of circumstances. Being constantly inspired by their mission and dedication led us to become VOWS Pro members who donate monthly and amplify their good works through our media platforms.”
