What best describes you?
Editor’s note: We’re proud to feature this guest contribution from our partner, The Bridal Collection. Their team is showing how wedding dress shopping can do more than celebrate love—it can also empower girls worldwide.
At The Bridal Collection, we believe every wedding dress tells a story. For decades, we’ve had the joy of helping brides in Denver find the gown that makes them feel beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of their lives.
But we also believe weddings can be about more than “the dress.” They can be about leaving a legacy of love—a celebration that goes beyond one day and makes an impact for girls around the world. That’s why we partnered with VOW for Girls.
Every year, 12 million girls under the age of 18 are married. That’s one girl every two seconds. Child marriage is a human rights crisis that denies girls their education, their futures, and often their safety.
VOW for Girls is working to end child marriage by supporting community-based organizations that advance girls’ education, rights, and opportunities. One hundred percent of the funds VOW raises go directly to grassroots efforts around the world.
When we learned about VOW’s mission, we knew it was a perfect fit. Weddings celebrate choice and partnership—two things every girl deserves.
We’re especially excited to share that we’re participating in the For Every Girl, With Love Campaign during our Justin Alexander Trunk Show October 10 and 11! During the trunk show, The Bridal Collection will donate the amount it costs to provide education to one girl for an entire year for every Justin Alexander & Justin Alexander Signature wedding gown purchased. That means every Justin Alexander & Justin Alexander Signature gown sold that weekend directly supports the end of child marriage as well as the advancement of education and empowerment for girls!
This weekend of giving also aligns with the International Day of the Girl. On October 11th, The International Day of the Girl, established by the UN in 2011, focuses on highlighting girls’ rights by recognizing the unique challenges they face and working to uplift and empower them on a global scale. What an incredible opportunity for brides to be! Not only can you find the dress of your dreams, but your purchase will also make a difference in the lives of girls in need.
Our brides are excited to participate, and we’ve seen how this partnership makes their dress shopping even more meaningful. As one bride shared:
“Knowing my dress could be part of something bigger made the experience even more meaningful. I felt like I was celebrating not just my love story, but also supporting other girls in theirs.”
When you purchase your dress from The Bridal Collection, you’re not only supporting a locally-owned bridal boutique—you’re also helping fund programs that keep girls in school, delay child marriage, and create brighter futures.
Denver brides are showing that love can be powerful. By saying “yes” to the dress here, they’re also saying “yes” to a world where every girl has the chance to decide her own future.
We’re so proud to stand alongside VOW for Girls in this mission. Together, we can turn weddings into a global force for good!
